The Shoestring Catch

A Travel and Sleep Day

We didn’t have anywhere to stay in New York, so after we were done checking out the city (around 3:00AM) we piled into the car and drove to Connecticut.  We pulled into a rest stop around 5:00AM and slept till noon.  This may or may not be illegal, and it was definitely dumb, so try your best to stay in a hotel, if you can afford it.  After we woke up, Andrew called his friend Grayson who lives in Medford, a suburb of Boston.  Grayson offered to put us up for a few nights, which was fantastic because none of my couch surfing contacts had come through.  We got to Medford around 3:00PM and didn’t do anything all day other than eat at a local deli, sit on the porch, and listen to music.  My car is surprisingly comfortable to sleep in, but even the best car sleep is not the most restful sleep.  We hit the hay early, ready to tackle Boston proper the next morning… or more accurately, the next mid-afternoon.
